metropolitan look with even more cutting-edge designers and as many as 3,000 pairs
of jeans at any given time.

With seven other locations in relatively suburban areas, and an established online
boutique at nationaljeancompany.com, owner James Gurrieri had been waiting for the
right place at the right time before opening in Manhattan. "As our target customers
are moving farther up the East Side, we feel the location is extremely convenient
yet removed from the chaotic hustle and bustle of Soho or Fifth Avenue," says
Gurrieri.

Designed to emulate a woman's dream closet, the interior of the new store is divided
into playful sections to appeal to her many unique styles. Shopping is a journey
that starts with contemporary tops and dresses spiced with novelty denim in the
front. Continuing on, shoppers will find themed vignettes of apparel and
accessories. From the posh and ultra-feminine chandeliered alcove with brocade
walls, to the retro, black and white checkered nook, National Jean Company creates a

floor to ceiling shelves that showcase the trendy high-waisted and super skinny
